Faretta Legal — Represent Yourself. Not Alone.
SPONSOR THE NEXT CASE

Pay it forward for someone who can’t fight alone.

Faretta Legal is a Texas LLC, not a 501(c)(3) — contributions are not tax-deductible. Your sponsorship doesn’t fund a building or a salary. It funds the next pro se litigant who walks in our door without $500 to their name. The CPS family, the veteran, the wrongful eviction, the person fighting their own case from inside.

Plain English: you sponsor someone else’s case, we do the work, they get the help, you get the case-update emails.

WHO YOU’RE HELPING

Real people, not abstractions.

These archetypes walk in every week. None of them have lawyers. Most of them can’t pay the $19 or $97 it would cost to get organized. Sponsorship dollars unlock the work for the next person who walks in without a wallet.

The CPS family

Mom or dad with kids in foster care, a court date in 14 days, no attorney, and a stack of paperwork they don’t understand. Your sponsorship buys them a timeline a judge can read in 60 seconds.

The veteran

VA denied the disability claim. Discharge upgrade stalled. Or a custody case where the other side is using military service against them. Your sponsorship covers the public-records pulls and the appeal letter.

The wrongful eviction

Tenant has 30 days, a landlord with an attorney, and a job that can’t miss two days for court. Your sponsorship covers the answer-to-petition draft and the exhibit pack.

The pro se prisoner

Someone fighting their own habeas, civil rights case, or §1983 claim from inside. Mailed motion drafts. Hand-typed exhibits. Your sponsorship buys the transcript fees and the certified-mail postage.

The journalist’s source

A whistleblower who needs the public-records request filed correctly so the agency can’t stall it. Your sponsorship covers the PIA / FOIA fees and the ground-truth follow-up.

HOW THE MONEY MOVES

Every dollar goes to a case, not to the operator.

Faretta Legal isn’t a law firm and never will be. The lane is investigative work, paperwork organization, and pro se advocacy — every service in the catalog is priced so an ordinary person can afford it ($5 motion skeletons, $19 quick case directions, $497 done-for-you trial binders). Those flat fees keep the doors open and pay the operator. Sponsorships don’t pay the operator. They pay for someone else’s case. Transcripts, filing fees, public-records requests, hours of organizing a stranger’s evidence into something a judge can read in 60 seconds.

WHAT EACH DOLLAR PAYS FOR

Concrete, not abstract.

  • $5 covers one PACER court-record pull for someone who can’t
  • $25 covers a 30-minute transcript review on a hardship case
  • $50 covers one public-records request round trip
  • $100 covers half a day of investigation time on a pro-bono matter
  • $500 covers a full case-review for a family that walked in with nothing
