This Privacy Policy explains what information Faretta Legal ("Faretta Legal", "we", "us") collects when you use this website, submit a form, purchase a service, or correspond with us; how we use that information; and the limited circumstances under which we share it.
1. Who we are
Faretta Legal is a Texas limited-liability company operated by Ryan Nichols. We are not a law firm and we are not authorized to practice law. Our services are investigative, organizational, and advocacy in nature — not legal advice. Submitting any form on this site does not create an attorney-client relationship.
2. What information we collect
We collect only what you give us, plus the basic technical metadata any website logs:
- Email address when you submit a contact form, intake form, lead-magnet form, tip form, or purchase a service.
- Your name if you choose to provide it.
- Phone number if you choose to provide it.
- Case details, documents, or messages you upload or type into a form.
- IP address, user-agent, and request timestamps through our hosting provider (Vercel) for security and abuse-prevention logging.
- Payment information is collected and processed by Stripe, not by us. We receive only a confirmation that a payment succeeded, the amount, and the customer’s email address — we never see card data.
3. How we use it
- To deliver the service or answer the question you asked us about.
- To email you back — sometimes with a follow-up question, sometimes with the deliverable.
- To keep an internal record of what was promised and what was delivered.
- To investigate abuse, fraud, or violation of our Terms.
4. What we do not do
- We do not sell your data. Ever.
- We do not share your data with third parties except the limited service providers below, and only to the extent needed to run the business.
- We do not run third-party advertising trackers or behavioral-ad pixels on this site.
5. Service providers (data processors)
We use a small set of vendors to operate the site. Each one only sees the slice of data it needs:
- Stripe — payments and donation processing.
- HubSpot — lead tracking and email-list management for our newsletter.
- Resend — transactional email delivery (intake confirmations, deliverable emails, contact-form replies).
- Supabase — database, file storage, and authentication for the members area.
- Vercel — web hosting and edge logging.
6. Cookies
This site uses basic session cookies needed for sign-in and form submissions. We do not set third-party advertising cookies, behavioral retargeting pixels, or cross-site trackers.
7. Your rights
You can request a copy of the data we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing Ryan@RealRyanNichols.com. We will honor reasonable requests within 30 days. We may retain limited records (such as paid-invoice metadata) where required by law or for legitimate accounting purposes.
8. Children
This site is not directed to anyone under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has submitted information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the data you give us, including TLS in transit and encrypted storage at rest with our hosting providers. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security, and you provide information at your own risk.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be announced on the site.
11. Governing law
This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising under this policy is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in Harrison County, Texas.
